Redex Recruitment are currently representing a leading firm of accountants based in Braintree who are looking to appoint a Trainee Payroll Assistant to join their existing team. This is a great opportunity for someone who is keen to develop a career within payroll.
The ideal candidate will hold 6 months plus payroll experience. A competitive salary in the region of £20,000 dependent upon experience and a generous company benefits scheme including annual bonuses.
Your main duties will consist of the following:
* Familiar with a payroll processing program such as Star Payroll * Be able to handle large volumes of data * Good knowledge of Microsoft products including Word, Excel and Outlook * Commitment to learning new skills to develop your knowledge * To assist with the processing of all payrolls including weekly, monthly and annual for over 400 clients * Input all new starters and leavers onto the payroll system * Deal with HMRC in respect of basic queries * To respond to and resolve payroll queries * To liaise with the Payroll Manager to cover holidays within the department * Ad-hoc duties as requested
