Overview:
This new role is part of the Institutional Clients Group's (ICG) Risk and Control department of Citigroup within the first line of defense (1LoD). The goal is to create an industry leading PR management infrastructure, and associated processes and controls. The role will directly support the PR program lead(s) by project managing and driving various workstreams across both First Line and Second Line functions and ensure the strategic vision is delivered on time.

The Price Risk program covers inventory, valuations, front-to-back controls, market risk (sensitivities, VaR stress-testing), model risk (including model methodology and validation), product control, IPV (Independent Price Verification) and E2E governance. Successful execution will require partnership with cross-functional stakeholders within traders, quants, Technology and Risk Management and Finance, while leading engagements with Internal Audit and regulators. The program covers all asset classes.
The workstreams' focus ranges from operating model, frameworks,, front office valuations, risks and controls,, methodologies, data, various market risk related workstreams to P&L attribution analysis (PAA), IPV and Price Risk reporting.
Role Context:
The role will be part of a core central Program Management office charged with ensuring the timely execution of deliverables across all workstreams whilst imparting their subject matter expertise and know-how.
The candidate must be an individual experienced in project management and with sufficient subject matter expertise to be able to provide meaningful solutions that are functional and sustainable.
Primary

Responsibilities:

- Support the PR Program Initiative lead(s) to drive execution of strategic deliverables
- Lead or participate in working groups, workshops and with stakeholders to understand business requirements, define project plans and manage timelines
- Impart subject matter expertise by providing guidance, support and constructive challenge on business initiatives to ensure alignment with PR strategy
- Assist in ensuring that all target state tools, processes and controls are socialized effectively and are approved at or by the appropriate governance forum or level
- Identify synergies between programs to minimize delivery time and maximize adoption
- Manage internal and external dependencies across initiatives, including working closely with Risk Managers, Product Owners, Front Office, Product Control and a variety of IT teams amongst others
- Identify challenges and proactively seek to resolve or escalate risk and issues in a timely and well-articulated manner to the projects by engaging relevant stakeholders and PMs
- Engage senior stakeholders continuously by escalating and resolving issues as they arise
- Produce accurate and insightful project update materials and artifacts, tailoring to various forums and committees
- Build strong relationships, adopting a joined up approach, to support the execution of programs
Opportunity & Challenges:
- Management of stakeholders and sponsors across multiple 1LoD and 2LoD functions and geographies
- Assist in driving and dealing with complex & multi-dimensional requirements
- Play an important role in a significant multi-year strategic transformation program consisting of ambitious goals
- Ability to work flexibly in a fast moving and changing project environment
- Ability to hit the ground running in a program that has commenced its execution phase
- This role has a high profile and the role holder will need the necessary gravitas and respect of his or her peers in order to contribute to the delivery of the program and its workstreams
- Proactive communication to immediately respond to executives' requests for information.
Qualifications & skills:
- Strong & proven track record in strategic project management and delivering complex solutions are essential (preferably including proficiency with project management tools)
- SME in one or more of the following: 1LoD Controls, Market Risk, Valuations, P&L Attribution, Methodology, Risk & P&L Data
- Significant experience in scoping, developing and prioritizing plans for strategic initiatives
- Excellent oral and written communications skills; must be articulate and persuasive with the judgement and authority to provide insightful commentary to senior stakeholders
- A solid understanding of mechanisms to track and communicate performance and value realization on investment
- Ability to drive change to business practices by working effectively across a global organization and understand different perspectives
- Thought leadership in target state design through engaging stakeholders at various levels of the organization
- Demonstrated analytical skills with follow-up and problem solving capability
Education and experience
- 7-10+ years of relevant industry experience in a project management role or with subject matter expertise and skillset to drive change
- Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred
- Project Management certifications e.g. PMP or equivalent a strong plus.
