An outstanding opportunity to join us in which you will analyse industry macro trends and company financials under the direction of the senior analyst. Your day will include monitoring, managing and maintaining financial models and industry databases ensuring accurate and up-to-date information for research reports. You will review business/trade publications, annual reports, financial filings and other sources to capture/synthesize/interpret data on companies followed by the senior analyst. You will also attend industry conferences (virtually if necessary), prepare and format reports; organize data, provide analytical support by maintaining and updating financial and valuation models on companies and you will assist in writing research notes and reports based on senior analyst's investment theses. We are looking for candidates to cover across the Energy, Media, Insurance, Metals & Mining, Banking and Diversified Finance sectors. Securities Research (SR) is one of the cornerstones of SRI. Associates play an integral role in the innovation, production and distribution of original research as a member of a Senior Analyst's research franchise. Through your interactions with senior management of the companies under coverage, key opinion leaders, buy-side clients and your counterparts in equity sales, trading and fixed income, you will gain extensive industry and company knowledge. The role will suit someone with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. You will also have the following: * A Bachelor's degree with strong academic background required (preferably finance, accounting, mathematics, engineering or a quantitative background). * Results-oriented individual with outstanding written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to multi-task and manage work effectively with strong attention to detail. * A detailed understanding of financial modelling and accounting principles. * Ability to manage work in a time sensitive environment, with intellectual curiosity and a passion for capital markets. * Excellent PC skills; advanced knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint a must. * Qualified as an ACA or CFA (preferable but not essential). * We would welcome candidates coming straight from an Accountancy practice background. * Dedication to fostering an inclusive culture and value diverse perspectives.
