Are you an immediately available Payroll Professional? Elevation Accountancy & Finance are currently working with a well-established & prestigious business based in Leeds who are looking to recruit a Payroll Officer to support their payroll team to cover a busy period within the company as they continue to expand at a rapid pace! There are two positions, initially fixed term for around 6 - 10 Months, but might extend.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to join a well-known established business. Reporting directly into the General Manager, you will be in charge of processing 1000+ monthly payrolls along with completing a variety of duties.
Key Responsibilities will include:
* Manually calculating SSP, Maternity, Paternity, Student Loans * Dealing with all payroll related queries * Collating employee timesheets and inputting relevant data * Responding to routine HMRC queries * Distributing payslips * Processing new starters, leavers and amendments * Preparing BACS payments * Issuing P45's
* Must be able to do manual payroll calculations (SSP, Maternity, Paternity, Student Loans) * Payroll experience Essential minimum of 2 years * Flexible, open-minded, and willing to get stuck in * Good IT skills * The ability to prioritise your own workload to meet deadline * Experience using Open People is beneficial however training can be provided
