Responsibilities:

  • Lead an accounting team for all general ledger accounting activities, complex technical and in-country accounting issues, internal controls and assist with any financial reporting preparation.
  • Drive the month/quarter/year-end close process for all international operations.
  • Oversee timely submission against all HMRC deadlines for Corporation Tax, VAT Returns, PSA, P11D etc.
  • Manage the year-end audit process and completion of the Statutory Accounts for the group.
  • Anticipating and communicating the impact of new standards and accounting requirements, and leading the implementation as the technical expert within the Group
  • Work in partnership with US Controllership, FP&A, Tax, Payroll, Tax, etc., to assist in all aspects of financial reporting including sales reporting, financial review, processes assistance, etc.
  • Assist the Global Corporate Controller in promoting a culture of continuous improvement to ensure department processes and procedures are reviewed regularly for efficiency and effectiveness, developing metrics to measure improvements. Foster proactive process reviews and improvements by staff.
  • Mentor and continually develop a high performing team
  • Likely project work involving acquisitions and systems integration

Essential skills:

  • ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified, with preferably 2-3 years in audit practice
  • Strong technical accounting skills with prior experience of monthly group consolidations, including overseas trading entities with multi-currency currency exposure and intercompany transactions
  • A high calibre individual, with the capability to lead, develop and drive a high performing team
  • A critical thinker, able to understand the underlying drivers of business performance and influence management through the presentation of financial data
  • Comfortable in fast growth/dynamic environment
  • Proficient with MS Excel
  • Prior SaaS and Netsuite experience preferred.
