Treasury and Trade Solutions (TTS) Overview:

The TTS Risk Management team is a subset of Transaction Services Risk Management, which consists of a core group of risk professionals who develop, design and implement active risk management strategies for the entire TTS business end to end. This encompasses credit, structure, operational as well as proactive portfolio management. TTS Trade Risk Management partners with Credit, Operations, Technology, Compliance and Legal to proactively risk manage the TTS Portfolio. The TTS Risk team functions out of the U.S., U.K., Mexico, Peru, Hong Kong, Singapore and has the support of an analyst team in Mumbai.


The role will focus on managing the various TTS Trade and Working Capital Finance Products and associated portfolios and engage in all stages of transaction approvals, escalation approvals to senior management, portfolio management, portfolio review, and restructuring of distressed names. The various Trade and Working Capital Finance Products include Export Credit Agency Guaranteed loans, Payables Finance, Receivables Finance, Trade Receivable Securitizations, Trade and Working Capital loans, Commodities Borrowing Base Facilities, and Documentary Trade Services.
In addition to identifying key risks, review and challenge as second line of defense, the individual must be cognizant of business, industry and product developments and trends that present business opportunities and be able to advise Product teams and provide constructive guidance on strategies to grow in a balanced and sustainable manner. The individual must also maintain strong relationships with the Product, Banking, various Risk Organizations (Industry and Regional Risk, FICC, IRM, etc.) to effectively influence change that improve overall decision making for Citi. This role will report to the Global Trade Risk Head.
- EAF (Export Agency Finance) Approval committee member, representing TTS Risk for credit and product approvals
- Reviewing, structuring, and assessing transaction approvals; coordinating escalation approvals
- Reviewing and analyzing Export Credit Agencies (ECA) and associated legal due diligence on an annual basis; coordinate due diligence and approval of any new ECAs
- Participate in Product Strategy sessions and provide inputs on risk/macro themes and direction
- Quarterly portfolio monitoring and review
- Cost of credit forecasting for the portfolio(s)
- Coordinating with Remedial Management and Product on distressed situations, claim process
- Review and update EAF Product Standards and Product Approval Program
- Review and analyze, and assist in New Product Approval Committee of new EAF structures
- Point person on all EAF related policies, regulatory capital, CCAR, Stress Tests, legal due diligence, etc.
- Spearhead industry, country, regional and macro reviews/projects
- Lead credit and policy trainings for EAF teams and other risk partners
- Coordinate between Product, Banking, and various Risk organizations
Key Qualifications:
- Senior Credit Officer designation
- Extensive years of credit experience within Citi or comparable banking institution
- Successful candidate is a self-starter, who is proactive, detail-oriented, and analytical
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong leadership skills and ability to execute effectively and deliver results
- Ability to exercise sound, timely and independent judgment
- General knowledge of Export Credit Agencies, Multilateral Agencies, Project Finance, Infrastructure Finance
- General knowledge and interest in macro-economics and actively follow geopolitical, market and macro events
- General knowledge of wide range of industries, including but not limited to shipping, aviation, power, energy, chemicals, telecoms, and financial institutions
- Knowledge of credit, cross border, country risk, market, and operational risk policies
