About the role

The consultant we are looking for is a specialist in financial services and insurance with a passion for driving innovation and change within the industry.

They will have experience within the financial services industry across one or more of the following financial areas: Banking, Capital markets, Insurance and Finance and Risk - which may include functional experience within one or more of the following; Intelligent Banking Operations, Customer Excellence and Innovation.

In addition, they will have business acumen and play a senior role holding delivery responsibility and critical roles in growing the business. They will be an experienced delivery professional adept at building client relationships and managing complex engagement. They will have responsibility for a number of high-profile client projects, obtaining accurate and timely data and providing comprehensive analysis of results to deliver clear strategic insight. Forging sound working relationships with our clients, they will develop an unparalleled understanding of their businesses and the financial services industry.

They are responsible for the provision of advice, assistance, and leadership in a specific area of expertise. This can be in the range from the implementation of new business strategies to the improvement of existing business processes. Consultants need to be able to explain complex, technical and sensitive issues in simple, straightforward and intuitive ways. Clients rely on them to take an integral perspective and to provide the necessary analyses to back this up.

Responsibilities

Client Engagement

Work in close-proximity with the customers, account team, and the delivery team to identify business-related problems and present outcome-based solutions

Provide direct consulting services to customer

Provide billing consultants on projects with guidance related to the engagements and customers they are working with and on behalf of

Build and maintain contacts and relationships with customers to drive lasting account growth

Client engagement activities include but are not limited to framing issues, problem-structuring, optimising client processes, and change management

Delivery

Carries out assignments under minimal supervision, applying knowledge, skills and experience

Select resources for delivery of an engagement

Responsible for ensuring that all solutions are delivered in a manner that is quality-driven, meets internal standards and the expectations of the customer

Assures Compliance with delivery assurance, accurate financial reporting and forecasting

Must be willing to travel and work remotely as and when required

Requirements

Educated to a Bachelor or Master's degree level

Preferably at least 5 years' experience leading consulting engagements for financial services and/or insurance customers

Experience operating in big IT environments and understanding of how to manage multiple stakeholders in a matrix environment

Fluent in English and the local language of the country/GBU
