Senior Accounts Assistant - Paignton - £25-28,000

Trial Balance Consulting are delighted to have been engaged by a high profile, professionally operated commercial construction business that seek to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant to join them on a full time, permanent basis. The role will work from the company's Paignton based headquarters and works as part of a small and energetic finance team.

Reporting to the Financial Controller but working closely with several heads of department, this is a broad ranging and interesting opportunity that would represent a fantastic opportunity for an experienced accounts assistant who feels that onward progression in their current position is limited. Key responsibilities to include:

- General accounting support to the financial controller

- Play a key role in preparing monthly management accounts with commentary

- Assist in project costings

- Budget, variance, and reporting analysis

- Cash flow forecasting

- Aged debtor management and maintenance

- Reconciliation of purchase ledger invoices

- Preparing supplier payment runs

- General ledger analysis

- Other ad-hoc finance tasks and assisting with accounting projects

For this role we're seeking a candidate who possesses at least 18 months of experience gained within a similar environment, either part/fully AAT or qualified by experience. Previous experience in the construction sector along with project costing experience would be desirable, though not essential for a candidate with the right aptitude. This is a team centred role that works with a range of internal and external stakeholders so excellent communication skills essential, as well as strong general IT aptitude.

This company offers a competitive starting salary with excellent benefits (above-average holiday allowance, strong progression opportunities, flexible working hours etc.). For further details and to apply for this position, please contact Elle Benjamin quoting reference EB7953 ASAP.
