My client, an Accountancy & Business Advisory Firm with offices throughout the UK are looking to recruit within their large Shared Service Centre based in Glasgow. The Shared Service Centre team (SSC) provides essential support to a number of teams across the firm

My client seeking an additional Team Leader (Associate) to join the Audit Support Hub in it new satellite location in Glasgow, Scotland. This team is one of several Hubs within the Shared Service Centre (SSC), where team members work internally within the business providing support to the client facing members of the firm.

The Audit Support Hub provides a portfolio of audit support processes and services to Audit stream colleagues across the UK.

The focus of the role will be to provide team leadership and subject matter expertise across the audit support hub, primarily by overseeing the management of up to several colleagues within Glasgow and collaborating closely with the wider Liverpool team.

Duties:

Manage and supervise a team ensuring effective and efficient performance standards are adhered to and improved upon through a coaching mentality, being responsible for overseeing and reporting on their performance through tailored feedback & coachingSupport regional client facing audit teams with multiple aspects of the annual audit process (including audit set up, report generation, derivative valuation, casting etc) by managing and supervising a team of Assistants and Senior Assistants, ensuring effective and efficient performance standards are adhered to and improved upon through a coaching mentalityWork extensively with proprietary audit support systems and processes and all external systems as requiredDeal with internal queries with colleagues and teams across the UKProvide support to other colleague teams dependent upon seasonality of core workDeputise for senior ASH colleagues as and when necessaryEssential Skills:

Previous line management experience managing people and performanceDemonstrable experience of previous mentoring/supervising and coaching through 1-2-1sSelf-motivated with a positive attitude towards change and pro-actively imparting knowledge onto othersIT skills - strong working knowledge of MS Office and similar desktop applications. Willingness to learn new systems is essentialWell presented with a professional level of communication - both verbal and writtenGood time management, organisation skills and the ability to prioritise and complete tasks with limited supervision.Ability to work well in a team environment.Ability to use own initiative and take a flexible approach.Desirable:

3 years previous line management experience, preferably within an office operations environmentA management/leadership qualificationDemonstrable work experience of audit or accounts, or experience within a financial/professional services backgroundACCA/ACA part qualified / QBENo training contract is provided with this role, although it is an excellent first step into the accountancy profession and provides relevant experience.

Role specific training is provided however.
