Our client is a Manufacturing company with a number of plants nation-wide.
Job Description
Our client is looking for a Cost and Management Accountant to join their team.

Responsibilities include but is not limited to -

• Creating and maintaining the plants costing module for finished goods and components, raw materials, spares and consumables
• Verification and updating of raw materials, spares and consumables pricing in JDE
• Standard and overhead cost roll ups for new and existing items across all branch plants (including outside branch plants)
• Update landed cost schedule for imports
• Completion of accounting procedures
• Compiling of monthly journal entries
• Taking full responsibility for transactional accounts
• Conducting expense analysis on costs affecting the income statement
• Monthly divisional reports
• Compiling of plants monthly operating statement
• Weekly reporting of actual costs and conducting of forecasts reporting on high plant costs and budget deviations
• Assisting on Capital WIP management, preparation of asset take on and disposal forms and assist with annual fixed asset verification
• Communication of stock take variances across locations
• Conducting of system audits for internal logistics activities: oversight of cycle counts,
• Working with site Buyer to ensure timeous processing of purchase orders
• Review of manual delivery note register & procedures followed by the plant

Qualifications

• BCom degree in Accounting or Equivalent
• CIMA or CIS Certificate

Skills

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role preferably in the manufacturing industry
• Experience working engineering and manufacturing personnel on development and analysis of cost standard

Salary / Package
R650,000 p/a (CTC)
