* Perform functions relating to general ledger, reconciliations and review reconciliations performed by junior accountants. * Prepare all management reports. * Perform functions relating to budgeting and forecasting. * Ensure that all valid entries are captured accurately on the balance sheet and reconciled within the agreed timeframe. * Prepare all documentation for internal and external audit. * Update and maintain the fixed asset register.
*Sustainable Business: Headcount Management *
* Manage the movement of heads between cost centres. * Monitor vacancies against budget. * Liaise with Human Resources to manage the headcount and vacancy process.
* Reconciliation of monthly PAYE, UIF and SDL deductions with submissions and line of business systems. * Liaise with Payroll and Group Tax to resolve any differences or disputes that might arise. * Ensure all VAT and tax returns are completed and submitted within required timelines.
