About the Role:
CrowdStrike is looking for a Specialist - Revenue Accounting Operations. This position will report to the Assistant Manager. You will be required to interact within inter/intra teams in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining proactive, resourceful, and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. We are looking for those eager to bring in best practice processes, take on problems, and streamline processes for revenue accounting operations.
Job Summary
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of revenue accounting principles under US GAAP, specifically, ASC 606. Candidate should also have fair understanding of GL flow and accounting principles. The person will also have strong working knowledge of ERP systems (NetSuite desired) as well as of the month-end close cycle relating to revenue recognition. The candidate must have 6-8 years of relevant accounting experience with publicly traded technology companies (SAAS preferred). Working knowledge and experience with automation and process improvement projects. Strong communication skills are essential as this role will interact regularly with other departments within the organization.

Responsibilities:
Month-end accounting close activities including preparation of revenue and deferred revenue journal entries for the Company's subscription revenue
Perform monthly account reconciliations for balance sheet accounts for deferred revenue and other assigned accounts
Review customer contracts to make sure revenue is recognized in accordance with the ASC 606 guidance
Prepare monthly and quarterly fluctuation analysis for revenue and deferred revenue accounts
Oversee the sales order review process performed by the accounting staff
Prepare high quality internal control documentation
Identify and lead various automation projects
Participate in the completion of internal and external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and support calculations
Assist in periodic Standalone Selling Price (SSP) analysis as per ASC 606 guidance
Work closely with other teams within the Quote-to-Cash cycle to ensure approved revenue policies are adhered to and monitored
Assist in monthly closing of financial records and posting of month end information
Assisting the accounting department with the preparation of financial reports
Should have an eye to the detail to question the current processes and work towards automating processes and bringing efficiencies
Should be a team player and drive best out of the team member
Job Qualifications:
Accounting Degree with 6 to 8 years of relevant experience required
High-tech publicly traded company experience related to revenue recognition accounting SaaS experience preferred
Extensive working knowledge of ASC 606 required
In-depth understanding of GL accounting operations
Experience with NetSuite (including their ARM, SRP modules) or another similar ERP system strongly desired
Experience with other data analysis applications (e.g., Smartsheets, DOMO, MS Office, Google applications, etc.)
A natural go-getter attitude, data-driven, detail oriented, hands on, having a sense of urgency and the ability to follow through and implement process improvements
