Godrej Housing Finance aims at becoming one of the fastest growing HFC with core values of Customer Obsession, Entrepreneurial mindset and Collaboration. The incumbent will be responsible for corporate audit & assurance for Godrej Housing Finance. The role is critical for the GHFC Business as it plays a key part in ensuring that the requisite controls exist in all the line functions; their processes and any weaknesses are plugged from time to time.

Location - GodrejOne, Vikhroli, Mumbai

  • Lead audit engagements, including planning, executing, directing, and completing financial audits
  • Participate in a wide range of audit and assurance services, particularly focusing on complex and specialised issues, control reviews, and assistance with regulatory compliance
  • Handle audits for HO, Branches and other locations
  • Responsible for conducting audits; developing recommendations and reports based on audits and presenting them to the audit committee
  • Review and ensure timely completion of deliverables such as income tax returns, financial statements, and audit reports for financial audits
  • Ensure compliance with internal (audit methodology and risk management) and external (regulatory) requirements
  • Produce reports underlining problems and providing prospective ways out
  • Documenting controls for Business Units
  • Achieve cost reduction and audit savings
  • Ensuring Internal Controls Over Financial Reporting (ICoFR)

Qualifications & experience
  • CA with 5+ years' experience in Internal Audit, preferably in a Housing Finance Company
  • Additional Qualification - CISA or CIA
  • Ability to independently conduct internal audits
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Should be technically proficient with the required software programs and have knowledge of ERP - SAP
  • Ability to thoroughly review audit documentation for completeness, accuracy and adequacy while ensuring timely archiving of work papers
  • Knowledge of Accounting & Auditing Standards and basic knowledge of Laws of the Land
  • Well versed with RBI, NHB regulations pertaining to HFC

Preferred Skills set:
  • Experience in Risk Assessment is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical skills for Audit reviews
  • Experience in using ACL in conducting Audits
