Overview
The position is responsible for assisting the VP of Financial Reporting and Accounting Research with external and internal financial reporting, research and regulatory reporting. This individual will be a key member of the accounting team.

Qualifications
The position is responsible for assisting the VP of Financial Reporting and Accounting Research with external and internal financial reporting, research and regulatory reporting. This individual will be a key member of the accounting team.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Preparation of annual financial statements and footnotes for the firm and its various investment vehicles
- Preparation of monthly internal and external financial reports for the firm's various investment vehicles
- Review financial statements and ensure the integrity and timeliness of all financial information being reported
- Preparation of regulatory reports for our registered investment advisor and investment vehicles (Form PF, CIMA Fund Annual Returns, Dodd Frank Protocols, CFTC and assist fund accounting with financial statement review/preparation)
- Accounting research (consolidation of investment vehicles, fair value considerations, new accounting guidance)
- Documentation of new accounting controls and procedures and review and update existing controls and procedures
- Assistance with debt compliance
- Assist in the process of monthly partner allocations, capital draws and distributions
Education, Experience and Skills:
- Undergraduate degree in accounting and CPA license is required
- Minimum of 4 years in public accounting. Experience in an accounting role with a demonstrated track record of success in a well-regarded public accounting firm and / or financial services company.
- Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and a strong foundation of financial reporting
- Ability to research technical accounting issues and document conclusions
- Understanding of accounting policies and internal control procedures
- Ability to effectively communicate and interact with people at all levels of an organization from analysts to the Chief Executive Officer
- Exceptional leadership skills, including the ability to implement change
- Strong PC skills required, including extensive experience with spreadsheets
- Strong analytical skills and strict attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Ability to prioritize several tasks at one time and meet tight deadlines
