Senior Manager/Associate Director, Group Treasury - Capital
Senior Manager / Associate Director - Group Treasury, Capital Management

Join our Group Treasury team as a highly motivated Senior Manager / Associate Director and showcase your skills from a variety of backgrounds (banking, accounting, consulting or STEM). In this role, you will work within our Capital Management team.

The Capital Management team is responsible for management of the Group's capital position. This includes assessing the appropriate amount and mix of capital for the Group, taking into account ratings agency, debt investor, shareholder and regulator expectations. The team also recommends and executes on capital actions and works closely with the businesses to understand the drivers of their capital footprint and to support their growth.

In this senior role, you will contribute to the development of policies and practices that will shape the outcome of Macquarie's business activities, whilst partnering with our operational divisions to enable their continued growth. Key to your success will be your ability to engage with senior stakeholders across Group Treasury and the rest of Macquarie.

As a Senior Manager / Associate Director, your responsibilities will include:
  • Developing insights that will assist with senior management decision making, including recommendations on capital actions
  • Building relationships with key business contacts to understand the drivers of their business activity, and assess implications for Macquarie's capital position and return on equity
  • Assessing the impact of developments in the external environment (including ratings agency, debt investor, shareholder and regulator expectations) on Macquarie's capital position
  • Coaching and development of junior team members

You will have strong communication and influencing skills with a proven ability to apply a commercial lens and focus on the bigger picture. Experience in a highly numerate and analytical environment with in-depth knowledge of a treasury function would be considered favourably.
