12 Month FTC Commercial Finance Analyst

Your new company
You will be working for an innovative construction based company located in Watford.

Your new role
You will be working as a Commercial Finance Analyst on a 12 Month FTC basis covering a maternity leave. You will be working in a Hybrid model fluctuating between working from home and the office.

• Liaise with business stakeholders to interpret, challenge, and agree their forecasting information to ensure this is accurate and supports data requirements from a finance and business perspective.
• Collate forecast data, and provide reporting (this includes data entry, manipulation and analysis) and ensure that accurate information is available within the finance system.
• Work closely with the Commercial Finance Manager to generate data and quality analysis that provides valuable insights into business performance.
• Engage with finance and business stakeholders to ensure appropriate tools are in place to support reporting and analysis requirements, this includes creating and improving internal dashboards, putting in place tools that make financial reporting simpler for the business, etc.
• Provide assistance to the Commercial Finance Manager in ensuring that the business is upskilled in being able to interpret financial information and results, including cashflow and forecast data in order to ensure that the information is accurately understood.
• Assist finance and business stakeholders with ad hoc reporting and analysis requirements.
• Support the Commercial Finance Manager in creating and advocating the use of finance tools and methodologies that are suitable for use and fit for purpose from both a finance and business perspective.
• In the course of the above, to actively identify changes and improvements which will generate efficiencies, simplification, a single source of information and ensure data integrity.
• Support with the provision of information for the budget
• Provide management information to the Irish business board papers, income analysis, P&Ls, forecasting, general support.
• Provide ad-hoc support for both UK and Irish audits.
• Any other projects

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed you will need to have the following:

• Financial acumen and understanding of financial data and information.
• Be a part-qualified accountant.
• Excellent customer service skills and demonstrable experience of working with stakeholders to achieve and deliver mutual benefits
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Intermediate / Advanced Excel skills and use of technology to create analytical tools, dashboards, etc.
• Natural curiosity and desire to learn
• Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to interpret and simplify complex information
• Strong communication skills, with experience of engaging with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
• Organised and able to prioritise tasks to ensure outputs are delivered in a timely manner
• Knowledge of Agresso would be useful
