We have a new fantastic opening for a Trainee Accountant to join the team in Ripon to support two accountants.

This role would suit a graduate interested in studying accountancy or a part-qualified accountant seeking the opportunity to finish their studies.

In addition to being trained in day-to-day processes in a thriving, busy accounts department you will also be offered full study support and development leading to a professional accounting qualification with one of the UK’s leading institutions.

You will responsible for:

• Undertaking balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparation of management accounting and financial reporting within agreed deadlines
• Operation of financial controls
• Answer queries on financial data from business stakeholders
• Wide ranging professional experience within a large accounting team covering a substantial amount of the experience required for professional qualifications

What we are looking for:

• Passionate about Accounting, wanting to build a career and interested in studying or already studying for ACCA/CIMA
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel – including pivot tables, VLook ups
• Ability to manipulate data and work with large complex data sets
• Demonstrates good attention to detail, organisation skills & initiative
• Able to build and maintain effective working relationships quickly and effectively with colleagues  
• Flexible, able to consistently meet deadlines / consistently motivated and focused on delivery
