Your new company
Hays are working in partnership with a rapidly growing luxury manufacturer and retailer based in Norwich who are looking to recruit a key member of their finance team on a 6 month maternity cover contract. This company has gone from strength to strength and are seeking a professional and friendly individual to join their existing team.

Your new role
The Accounts Receivable Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and helping with the day-to-day tasks in the Accounts Receivable (AR) section of the Finance department . The role will cover a variety of daily tasks, month end reconciliations and initial/ongoing training for other members of AR
Your key responsibilities:

  • Provide initial and continuous training to AR assistants, with ongoing support
  • Undertake quarterly reviews and set objectives relevant to company values and strategic goals
  • Run and distribute weekly deposit and debtor reports
  • Investigate and resolve reconciliation queries in a timely manner
  • Making manual corrections to customer accounts where required.
  • Assist with reconciling daily customer deposits received from a variety of payment methods
  • Assist with processing customer refunds
  • Assist with maintaining the accuracy of the external finance control account
  • Monthly reconciliation of payment channel control accounts
  • Monthly reconciliation of Outlet debtor accounts
  • Monthly reconciliation of Showroom and Outlet PDQ, Cash control and Petty cash / till float accounts
  • Confidently liaise with colleagues from across the company
  • Assist with annual external audit preparation and processes


This is a full time role working 40 hours per week between Monday and Friday. There are hybrid working options available but there will be a requirement to be in the office for 2 days per week.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be available immediately or on short notice and be able to commit to a 6 month assignment. You will have previous management or supervisory experience and have excellent knowledge of complex reconciliation processes. Experience in the retail sector would be advantageous but not essential.
