Kenton Black Finance have partnered with a newly established service business based in East Lancashire. Part of a larger group of successful companies they provide the financial activities to an established organisation. The group have interests in both the property and retail sectors, and are in a period of continued growth. Reporting to the Group Head Of Finance this role will hold responsibility for the daily running of the finance department and juniors in the team. With the scope to develop process and procedure you will gain exposure to the wider group and have the opportunity to add value in a rounded and varied role.

Your new role as Finance Manager:

As Finance Manager you shall enjoy a varied role which offers many technical and commercial accounting duties. Working closely with the Head of Finance you shall enhance process and develop the team to establish timely and accurate monthly/yearly accounting. Managing a small team you shall spearhead change whilst ensuring that the monthly and yearly accounting requirements are fulfilled as well as meeting regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies.

Main Role Duties:

Manage and develop a finance team in a group structure
Completion of detailed Management Accounts and associated reporting for each of the entities in the group
Year-end accounting and support to the audit process
Balance Sheet Reconciliations and control accounting
Payroll Accounting
Ongoing development of process and procedure
Experience & Qualifications Required to apply:

To be considered you shall have experience in a similar role. The business will consider both QBE of CIMA /ACCA/ ACA qualified candidates who have strong technical skills and a proven track record of adding value in a management accounting position. With experience of using SAGE you shall have ambition and the ability to supervise effectively. Technically strong you will be able to demonstrate strong Excel skills and have a high level of competency in the use of accounting systems to enhance and develop internal reporting. With excellent attention to detail, a proven ability to work under pressure and with experience of working with stakeholders to drive business performance you shall be proficient at developing strong working relationships across an organisation.
