Our client based on the shoreline is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Controller to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will prepare financial statements, verify financial records and transactions, analyze cash flow, review budgets and forecasts, and oversee audits. This person must have at least five years of professional accounting experience with a track record for providing accurate and efficient work. This position will report to the Chief Accounting Officer.

- Prepare monthly financial statements, reports and records by collecting, analyzing and summarizing account information.
- Fixed asset processing and reporting.
- Monitor reserve accounts.
- Review bank statements and prepare bank reconciliations.
- Research and reconcile all discrepancies.
- Auditing and verifying documents.
- Following internal controls.
- Recommend ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue.
- Prepare documentation for External Auditors.
- Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and alert the VP of Finance if necessary.
- Reconcile accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
- Financial and profitability analysis on a requested basis.
- Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost control principles and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Assist with audits and taxes.
- Prepare financial reports for taxes.
- Manage general ledger and perform month-end and year-end close processes.
- Assist the VP of Finance in preparing documents and interpreting financial information for managers, executives, and C-Suite executives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance
- 5 years' experience in accounting.
- Strong Communications Skills.
- Strong Computer Skills.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills
- Accuracy in daily work and other projects.
- Ability to meet communicated schedules and deadlines.
- Adherence to policies, procedures and instructions.
- Ability to maintain great working relationships within CHRC's ecosystem.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience with high end accounting software.
