Quantity Surveyor
Contract Scotland are recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor for one of our key clients. This fast-paced company have projects based throughout Central Scotland and work on a shift rotation basis. You will ideally have a background in Fit out and Refurbishment, as this client specialises in retail frameworks.
As a Quantity Surveyor you will be expected to control company expenditure, measure progress, submit valuations, submit final accounts & retention, release & monitor receipt of payment in a timely manner in accordance with the company contracts. You will also be involved in commercial management, credit control management, the recovery of money from the organisation's clients, the control of all expenditure, to reconcile cost/value reports & profit forecasts, the preparation of invoices & applications to clients and the organisations procurement/surveying processes. You will also report to senior management.
The Successful Candidate will ideally demonstrate:
• Prior experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a background within fit out and refurbishment
• Problem solver who takes ownership of tasks and sees them through
• Work Independently or as part of a team
• Can work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written & communication skills
• Good commercial awareness
