VAT Specialist – Nordic Market

 

Job Purpose

The primary responsibility of the VAT Specialist is to work with the Team Leader/VAT Supervisor/VAT Senior Consultant in the Nordic to provide assistance on the VAT and indirect taxes compliance for foreign clients identified in the Nordic countries (Sweden,  Denmark,  Norway, and Finland) for tax purposes.  S/he is responsible for individual goals and helping to meet the wider departmental goals.

 

Key Responsibility

  • Preparation of VAT and other indirect taxes (Monthly and Quarterly VAT Returns, Intrastat reports etc.)
  • Preparation of IPT (Insurance Premium Tax)
  • Assisting on change of company details (i.e. de-registrations, etc.) on behalf of our clients
  • Any other task to support the Nordic tax Team and its Clients
  • Liaise with clients and colleagues abroad on daily basis
  • Assistance for the preparation of the internal Billing report

 

Job specific requirements

  • English (C1)
  • Nordic language (any level) is not compulsory but would be a plus
  • Knowledge of VAT legislation
  • Strong analytical and technical skills and high attention to detail
  • Ability to handle issues, excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and manage a number of different clients.
  • A proactive, self-motivated team player who has the ability to manage a high personal workload with multiple deadlines and continually strive for improvements in quality and efficiency
  • 3 years experiences in similar Organizations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience and knowledge on accounting is not compulsory but would be a plus.
