Hays Accountancy & Finance are partnering with a leading and rapidly growing SME to recruit for a progressive and hands-on Finance Manager based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. An exciting position reporting directly into the Financial Director where you will support process improvement, daily/monthly accounting processes, and take ownership of managing a small finance team. A varied permanent finance role offering a progressive route to Financial Controller in the next few years, hybrid of remote and office working offered, and flexibility. The role will be tailored around the right candidate dependable on skill set and is open to part-qualified/qualified, and qualified by experience accountants, who really want to add value to a growing business.

Your new role

Your key duties will include management of a finance team of two, ownership of the completeness and accuracy of the trial balance, ownership of management accounts, assistance with automated cashflow processes, and managing all payroll, VAT, and audit processes for the business. You will be involved in standard costing processes, stock processes, royalty accounting/reporting, foreign exchange, invoice financing, basic treasury functions, and general accounting projects to support business growth. As well as the UK business accounts, you will support the accounting processes for the US Subsidiary, with involvement in power BI reporting systems, and automation projects. This position will be tailored around the right candidate, with training and development, in addition the opportunity to take on further duties as you grow with the business and work towards to the position of Financial Controller.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this progressive Finance Manager position you will have some experience within a similar role, key communication skills to build internal/external relationships, along with the ability to meet deadlines and manage workloads. You will be driven and dynamic with a key enthusiasm for systems and process improvement. You will be part-qualified/qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA or qualified by experience, willing to learn/develop, with strong MS excel skills. It would be advantageous but not essential if you have experience with SAP business one, Power query, Power BI, along with supervisory experience.

What you'll get in return

This unique and progressive Finance Manager position is offering a salary between £35,000 - £45,000 per annum dependable on experience based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.
