Description:

VP-Global Corporate Controller - lead global accounting functions including SEC Reporting, Technical Accounting & Accounting Policies, Consolidation and Corporate Accounting which includes Chart of Accounts, Inventory, Revenue, Fixed Assets, Leasing, Equity Compensation, and other general accounting areas. The Global Corporate Controller will also act as a key business partner to senior management, external auditors, and outside vendors. Lead the Accounting transformation journey by leading automation, integration, and change management efforts; implementing change and creating programs to increase efficiency both within accounting and cross-functionally.

This role reports to the Chief Accounting Officer and is based in Dallas-Forth Worth Metro in Texas.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee SEC, technical accounting and corporate accounting functions domestically and internationally.
  • Accountable to produce monthly accurate, supportable, and timely financial reports in accordance with USGAAP for all corporate and individual country accounting operations. Manage and direct accurate and timely closing cycles of financial systems.

SEC Reporting
  • Overall responsibility for consolidation of the monthly financial statement of all legal entities and delivering on monthly financial package and variance analysis
  • Responsible for managing annual close calendars, SEC filling calendars and board meetings
  • Delivers Annual 10K, Quarterly 10Qs, SEC form 8K, Form 3 and 4s timely
  • Manages the annual proxy report and coordinates all activities leading to annual shareholder meeting
  • Primary contact and full responsibility of managing external auditors on year-end financial, quarterly reviews, and significant transactions, budget, fees tracking and approvals. and
  • Liaisons with legal, Investor Relations, Tax and Treasury and other stakeholders to achieve responsibilities
  • Prepares Audit Committee materials to review financial statements and other audit committee matters.

Technical Accounting & Global Accounting Policies
  • Own the development, launch and training of accounting policies worldwide
  • Ensure material and significant transactions are evaluated based on US GAAP and SEC rules for the appropriate accounting treatments, prepare white papers to support and implement appropriate accounting policies to support treatment.
  • Advise business and other stakeholders on accounting rules and regulations timely
  • Oversee M&A accounting and annual impairment analysis and other quarterly technical needs
  • Evaluate new accounting rules and develop implementation plans for the adopting new applicable changes
  • Responsible for setting Materiality policy and performing analysis to support materiality thresholds and proposed changes.

Corporate Accounting
  • Ownership of chart of accounts approval process for natural account.
  • Responsible for execution on SOX controls surrounding accounting and related processes
  • Responsible for month-end close processes and delivery of monthly financials.
  • Responsible for establishing close policies/deadlines and ensure business adherence to due dates
  • Collaborate with Shared Services, Tax, Treasury and FP&A on close matters
  • Responsible for accurate and timely statutory reports in Europe and Australia
  • Assist in due diligence and integration during M&A activities and help prepare materials for fund raising
  • Partner cross-functionally with tax, treasury, Financial Systems & Controls, FP&A, Shared services, and business units in a consultative manner and to plan for new initiatives and changes in business models.
  • Owner of financial statement controls. Ensure controls are effective, performed timely and are updated with business and process changes.

  • Rationalize controls and redesign new controls post ERP implementation

Minimum Qualifications
  • 15+ years of progressive experience with accounting leadership in a global publicly traded fortune 100
  • 5+ years in Big 4 Accounting firm with increasing responsibilities and variety of industries
