The opportunity

As a Data & Reporting Analyst, you will join the Bank Data, Reporting & Insights team. You will have a solid understanding of data governance, data quality and reporting; whilst using your communication skills to influence and promote information management across AMP Bank.

How you will make an impact

  • Responsible for providing the necessary data to support bank data stakeholders
  • Provide and Lead the build out of data and reporting capabilities (e.g. Data Quality Dashboards) through AMP Bank projects and standalone initiatives (in particular the Bank Risk business domain)
  • Bring thought leadership and seek out opportunities to uplift approaches toward best practice
  • Align with Enterprise standards and capabilities and leverage and extend where possible
  • Experience with data analysis: Conduct data profiling to understand the current state of data, its quality in the source system(s), identify gaps or missing data, collect statistics and derive metrics on existing data
  • Hands on with Data Discovery tools (e.g.; Alteryx)
  • Hands on experience of Reporting tools (Power BI) to report findings to stakeholders
  • Provide input into data quality remediation process through engaging various stakeholders in the business migration team and provide input for remediation and facilitating / acquiring approval from Bank Risk Committee and Bank Data Governance council


What you will bring to the role

  • Proven experience in working with data and reporting methods, processes and tools.
  • Experience with iterative or agile development processes
  • Experience with project management methodologies
  • Strategic mindset and commercial acumen
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and written communication skills
  • Track record of influencing and delivering outcomes with & without formal authority
  • Sense of urgency, and goal orientation
  • Experience with Data Quality profiling tools (e.g. Alteryx)
  • Experience with Reporting tools (preferably PowerBI)
  • Experience with or working knowledge of CPG235, CPS234, Privacy Act, BCBS239, GDPR or other data-related regulations. This is preferable but not essential.
