Description:

This position involves the preparation of individual tax returns, utilizing original paper and digital documents provided by the clients, i.e. 1099's, K-1's, supporting items for deductions.

Requirements:

1. Minimum 3-5 years current experience preferably with a CPA firm during tax season.

2. PTIN Certification required (validate)

3. Must have CPA firm experience

4. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask

5. Must be able to work independently.

6. Ability to switch between projects with ease

7. Excellent communication skills

8. Experience with high net worth clientele preferred.

*Degree in Accounting strongly preferred

Job Requirements:

• Use tax returns and property tax returns
• Preparing income tax returns, tax provisions
• Use tax, accounting, tax returns
• Assist with tax files/tax returns with external tax consultants
• Preparing federal tax returns, state/local tax returns and estimated payments
• Assisting in preparation of sales tax returns, income tax returns and state franchise returns
• Review federal and state income tax returns
• Prepare quarterly tax estimates, annual tax provision and annual tax returns
• Reconcile accounting for sales tax, income tax, franchise tax and property tax
• Use tax and property tax audits
• Coordinate federal and state tax returns
• Complete state and federal tax returns
• Prepare personal property tax returns
• Prepare federal tax returns and various state returns including franchise tax returns and annual reports
• File all property tax returns
• Prepare income and franchise tax returns
• Decide best tax strategies when preparing tax returns
• Prepare state income tax returns for review
• Prepare the tax work-papers for tax returns preparation
• Preparing property/entity tax returns
