The key responsibilities for this Manchester-based Commercial Finance Analyst role are varied & diverse.

In this new role as Commercial Finance Analyst, you will be passionate about analysis, with a high attention to detail and the ability to think outside of the box. You will enjoy working within a fast-paced, changing environment, and being involved in projects that have a real business impact.

Some of your responsibilities as Commercial Finance Analyst will include:

• Study & interpret metrics to ensure an accurate forecasting plan in line with the business needs
• Build trusted relationships with your business partners to influence and support tactical and strategic business decisions driving business improvements and cost reductions.
• Identify risks, evaluate impact, propose changes, and implement improvements to remediate gaps.
• Understand the details of the cost structure to make thoughtful judgement calls in ambiguous environments where data may be difficult to procure.
• Own the Financial and Operational planning processes to produce a solid operational plan
• Become the expert in understanding the various sources of data and standardised reports that support the business and ensure consistency of approach to seek the "single version of the truth" in regard to reporting standards.
• Create ad-hoc reporting and dashboards for internal stakeholders using various metrics.
• Pro-actively and effectively communicate with stakeholders across the business, discussing the root cause of trends, assessing their impact and proposing solutions/optimisations.
• Generate and communicate insights and recommendations.

Profile

The successful candidate for this Commercial Finance Analyst role will be:

• Commercially astute with an understanding of operational business drivers and levers impacting sales and margin.
• Great analytical skills - able to identify core issues and provide assessments grounded in compelling logic.
• Experience of working with spreadsheet-based financial models and templates.
• Flexible and adaptable, able to respond to changing demands and can prioritise work effectively
• You naturally demonstrate proactive behaviour with a solutions focused mindset.
• Excellent inter-personal skills and ability to build strong stakeholder relationships
• Great communication skills and ability to interpret and present this to non-financial audience
• Demonstrated business acumen while influencing and managing cross-functional relationships
• Ideally fully CIMA / ACCA / ACA qualified

Job Offer

The chosen applicant for this brilliant Commercial Finance Analyst role will be offered a salary of £40,000 - £45,000 based on experience.
