Payroll Manager - Corporate (3000 employees Headcount)
* Relevant qualification (finance, HR & payroll) at NQF level 6
* 8 years' experience in Payroll environment
* At least 5 years supervisory or management experience
* Track record of managing payroll in excess of 3000 employees
* Managing People
* Income Tax Act
* Basic Conditions Of Employment
* UIF & Skills Development Levy (Payroll Specific)
* Statutory Payroll Regulation
* Workmens Compensation
* SARS Methodologies, e.g. easy file, e-filing, etc.
* General knowledge of Reward and Renumeration practices(desirable)
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITY
- Manage and direct payroll operations by signing off the finalsystem download as required to ensure compliance withrelevant legislation, standard operating procedures, andfinancial deadlines
- Authorise and maintain changes in payroll system parametersto ensure control over methods and correctness of payrollapplications
- Implement and advise on corrective measures in terms ofidentified payroll risks to be applied to ensure compliance withrelevant human resources, financial and payroll legislation,policies, and standard operating procedures
- Oversee the preparation of management reports andinterpretation of data to advise on key issues to be addressedand / or investigated by senior management
- Sign off and authorize third parties' payments, net salaries, andstatutory funds in accordance with internal risk managementcontrols
- Develop and manage payroll staff to ensure that they have therequired skills and can perform and achieve their keyaccountabilities and performance objectives
- Development and manage controllers to achieve adequatesuccession planning.
