Ruby Group are recruiting a Financial Accountant for a property business based in Southend. It is a permanent position reporting into the Financial Controller and working within a team of 8. The duties/responsibilities/areas involved are: -

Assist in the preparation of interim and year end financial statements and taking a leading role assisting in the Group audit.

Assist/prepare financial statements and tax returns for all entities

Exposure to UK and US group companies

Manage and prepare monthly reports.

Systems development and improvements for increased efficiencies.

Ensuring procedures are up to date and adhered to

Bank compliance reporting

Dealing with Ad-hoc requests

Monitoring the control environment and reporting findings to the Financial Controller

The role will also require some lower level activities like posting journals, making payments and running some daily reporting

Work closely with Financial Controller to support development of team

The ideal candidate for this role will be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified. They will be an intermediate/advanced excel user and have an excellent command on communication skills. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone who wants to join a growing organisation.
