JOB DESCRIPTION Summary
Seeking a Bookkeeper / Accountant who is dedicated to becoming a long-term key player in an established and growing company. Qualified candidates will be swift and accurate and excel at meeting deadlines under pressure; ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, and ability to multi-task a heavy workload is required. Under the direct supervision of the Office Manager this position is responsible for maintaining the financial records of the organization.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.Physical Demands This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Required Education and Experience5+ years' experience as a bookkeeper.COMPENSATION$25 - $30/HR DOE

- Proficient knowledge of QuickBooks, Excel, Word and email.
- Accounts payable, manage vendors.
- General ledger reconciliation, prepaid accounts, payroll accruals.
- Journal entry preparation.
- Generate financial reports, budgeting, account analysis.
- Willingness to assist CEO and Office Manager with other projects as assigned.
- Payroll full charge.
- Payroll taxes, W-2's, 1099's.
- Attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to self-check work.
- Ability to understand complex budget for 3 corporations using accrual based accounting.
- Exceptional people skills and a customer service approach. * Typing speed 55 WPM, 10 key by touch.
