Our rapidly growing CPA client is seeking additional members of their Tax team and are seeking a Tax Manager. This Client is Headquartered is in downtown Boston with 200 employees with an additional location in Burlington, MA. They require candidates to work 2-3 days onsite at their determined location, they just implemented a new application to reserve cubicle and office space. They also offer flex Fridays during the summer (off season).
This role will support the tax department. The Tax Specialist computes and prepares tax statements and records and meets all reporting requirements in a timely manner. This position also works on trust and estate work with additional opportunities to stay up to date on tax issues pertaining to other industries.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree; CPA licensure preferred, PFS, PFP or CFP a plus
  • 4-5+years related experience or equivalent
  • Proficient in ProFx Tax Software
  • Experienced at managing client engagements
  • Understand high net worth individual returns
  • Demonstrated knowledge of tax laws
  • Excellent written, verbal communication, organizational, problem solving and analytical skills

Essential Functions:
  • Accurately prepares and files all tax documents.
  • Maintains tax calendar for all filing responsibilities to ensure timely filing.
  • Ensures compliance with all relevant state/local, federal, and international tax laws and regulations.
  • Researches and responds to state/local, federal, and international tax authorities to resolve tax issues.
  • Develops and maintains audit trail and data reporting integrity for all tax needs.
  • Monitors tax law changes. .
  • Participates in development and implementation of tax strategy.
  • Coordinates all income tax processes including but not limited to compliance, research, and planning.
  • Prepares and files annual federal and state income tax returns and quarterly estimates.
  • Assists with resolution of income tax audits.
  • Recommends alternative tax treatments to alleviate or reduce tax burden.
  • Coordinates implementation of tax accounting systems and control procedures.
