Assistant Financial Accountant - Leicester

The Role

Otis is now seeking to recruit an Assistant Financial Accountant based in our Leicester office to support the Financial Accountant and Chief Accountant on a variety of tasks and projects. This includes, but is not limited to:

Preparation of bank reconciliations and balance sheet account reconciliationsCost centre analysis and recharge of costsPreparation of Intrastat dataAssisting with collation of data for the VAT returnsPreparing statutory financial accounts.Assisting and preparing statutory financial statements and corporation tax analysis

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills/knowledge:

Recent experience within a similar roleAn Accounting qualification (AAT, ACCA etc) is an advantageExperience of preparing balance sheet reconciliations and journalsPrevious experience of dealing with payroll entries, including PAYE/NICCompetent using Excel, including the use of VLOOKUPS and Pivot TablesPrevious experience posting journalsKnowledge of statutory financial accountsPrevious experience processing transactions through the bank, including completion of cashbooks or equivalent entries on a software package is desired
