About this role
Finance help deliver our strategy and plans for growth. We shape and steer the direction of the business by managing our people, finances, shared services and buildings. We also oversee our regulatory and compliance obligations too.
In this fixed term contract finance role you will support the North & Midlands region. This is a complex area with thousands of customers, so the ability to review and consolidate data from these into simple summaries is crucial
The team has a broad stakeholder base which requires concise and timely interaction to drive maximum value for BT and our customers
Insightful forecasting and reporting is crucial to support profitable growth
You'll have the following responsibilities
Execute Group / CFU / unit accounting and financial control activities
To provide Forecasting, Planning and Analysis to the business
Work with channel business partners who will own any judgement call made on a contract in terms of recognition of cost or revenue in line with the appropriate accounting standards
To provide financial support on business cases
Manage the setting and monitoring of targets for the team
You'll have the following skills & experience
Significant Stakeholder experience and working within highly matrixed environments.
Experience of working with Commercial teams to deliver the unit financials
Ability to interpret financials into meaningful insight, to inform decision making.
Be willing to voice an opinion and look at the "art of the possible" Must be able to create a clear vision, delivering against key metrics
Demonstrates an extremely high level of analytical capability
Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ ACA/ ACCA)
