Our client is a Global Organisation with a turnover in excess of $1 billion worldwide, and around 3600 employees, they are now moving into a new phase of their growth within the UK.

They have an exciting investment programme to grow, building on the success of their industrial business, they are now moving forward to take their exciting products into the retail, hospitality and logistics sectors and expanding their presence in the UK market. Their team are based on their site near Cambridge.

Reporting to the Managing Director you will perform the major functions listed below.


• Maintenance of the account receivables ledger, ensuring all information is accurate, complete and reconciled to the relevant sources.


• Preparation of the commission statements, including retention of detailed supporting documentation.


• Ad Hoc support of the payroll process provided directly to the Head of People.


• Preparation and completion of the general ledger control document following the completion of the monthly GL accounts.


• Preparation of the retrospective monthly cash flow workings.


• Assistance with the preparation of the monthly reporting documents to be provided to Teraoka.


• Preparation of the retail and industry service profit and loss accounts and retention of the supporting documentation.


• Responsibility for the credit control process and management of bad or overdue debts.


• Review of a number of critical general ledger accounts, including material variances and goods received not invoiced.


• Preparation of the monthly prepayment schedule and accompanying general ledger entries.


• Assistance in the preparation of the monthly department expenditure budget documents.


• Recording and allocation of cash / bank transactions within NAV.


• Preparation and submission of VAT returns.


• Preparation of analysis and information on sales performance, including distribution of this information to the relevant individuals.


• Provide support for all staff in keeping with the businesses values, policies and procedures


• Complete all documents required by the company policies and procedures


• Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as may be reasonably expected of the role and as necessary in order to achieve the objectives of the Finance team and the business goals


• Working within Health & Safety procedures and Risk Assessment guidelines at all times.

Key Skills


• Ideally studying towards AAT Level 4


• Experience of working with foreign currency an advantage
