Firm of Leicester based Chartered Accountant require a candidate to head their Management Accountancy and Indirect Taxes department.

The vacancy is for a full time role (36.25 hours) and will involve:

Managing the bookkeeping departmentProduction and submission of VAT returns to HMRCPreparation of monthly and quarterly Management AccountsEnsuring bookkeeping is suitable for the preparation of year end Statutory Financial Statements

The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:

Excellent knowledge of Sage Line 50An awareness of other bookkeeping software including Xero, QuickBooks and similarUp to date technical knowledge of VAT matters such as partial exemption, import and export transactions, flat rate schemes and VAT registration and deregistrationKnowledge of other VAT matters such as property transactions is desiredThe ability to prioritise and manage their own time effectively The ability to manage staff and work well in a teamGood communication and IT skillsMinimum of two years of experience at a senior level or five years of experience at a semi-senior level

There could be opportunities for involvement in producing statutory financial statements.
