We are recruiting an Audit Senior for a well established independent regional south Wales practice . The Audit Senior will benefit from joining a friendly and experienced team with Excellent transport links.

The Audit Senior needs to have gained previous audit experience within an accountancy practice and ideally be ACA/ACCA part or fully qualified or qualified by experience. We are seeking an individual who likes autonomy and is capable of planning and executing audits.

Audit Senior duties and responsibilitiesLiaise with the Manager and Partner to ensure all audit work is scheduled into the work plan and is appropriately staffed.Plan and attend planning meetings with clients and audit team.Working knowledge of UK GAAP (including FRS 102) and International Auditing.Running quarterly VAT returns for clients.Working with cloud-based Accountancy software and Excel.Attending external Audits and working with clients at their premises.Supervise the audit team, where necessary, providing leadership, control and guidance as required.Ensure that high standards of quality, reporting and advice are maintained throughout the audit.Liaising with clients via the telephone and assisting with basic enquiries.Meeting clients at their premises or in the office as and when required.Identifying ways to maximize the relationship with clients and deliver added value.Friendly and collaborative working environment who encourage internal promotion. The practice also adopt a flexible working policy.

Monday-Friday 37.5 hours per week. There is no extensive travel required with this role, all audits are undertaken locally.
