Accounts Receivable Officer - Band 3 - Finance 37.5 hpw Permanent

Could you help West Suffolk Hospital to deliver the best quality and safest care to our local community?

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Finance Department for an Accounts Receivable Officer, to provide support in the delivery of efficient and effective financial system processes.

The Accounts Receivable Officer will work within the Financial Services section of the Trust and will be responsible for raising invoice and assisting the Accounts Receivable and Overseas Visitor Manager with Private Patient income and Overseas Visitor assessments. Knowledge of the overseas and private patient's guidance would be an advantage but not a necessity.

In particular, you would need to:

  • Be able to raise department invoices following receipt of invoice request forms.

  • Deal with queries raised in respect of invoices and liaise with other departments or organisations to resolve queries.

  • Have good attention to detail and accuracy of information.

  • Be capable of understanding regulations and applying them in sensitive circumstances.

  • Have the confidence to communicate with patients in a professional manner in order to obtain required information and also to convey difficult messages.

Although you will be given training and support, you will need to be able to work autonomously and be confident in making decisions within the framework provided.

If required to work on a weekend, the restriction does not apply Parking is allowed on site Saturday and Sunday please visit the car park office before you leave site and the car park team will validate your parking at the staff daily rate.

For posts that include "on call" duties successful candidates will be able to access on site parking for their 'on call' rostered days only. Please provide details of your on call days to the car park office who will validate parking at the staff rate on these days only.
