Head Accountant required by our client a chartered surveyors in Leicestershire. The ideal candidate will be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified and have experience in a similar role.

The head of accounts will have experience producing year end accounts for Limited companies, partnerships and sole traders up to trial balance, including all year end adjustments. They will be familiar with operating under RICS legislation and will have some experience of working in the property management services industry.

Head Of Accounts (Maternity Cover) Position Overview

Producing monthly management accounts

Complete year end accounts including all year-end adjustments

Full responsibility for client accounts

Regular invoicing for rent and service charges including collection from tenants and owners

Monthly statement and regular reporting to clients

Year end accounts for the clients' Limited companies

Thorough knowledge of service charges, reconciliations and RICS legislation in regards to this

VAT returns calculation and submission on behalf of clients

Recharges of utilities and ad hoc charges

Processing and payment of supplier invoices

Property management accounts software

Previous management accounting experience

ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or finalist

Initial 12 month Fixed Term Contract (Maternity Cover) with the potential to become permanent

Monday to Friday working hours 09:00 to 17:30 with one hour lunch
