Alteram Solutions, a national ICT company has exciting Finance opportunities to provide the business with project accounting, budgeting support and assist the Accountant.
* Reviewing budgets, including staffing, work plans, and fee structures.
* Providing management with timely project reports and budgets, as well as project forecasts.
* Preparing pre-billing reports in conjunction with project managers.
* Monitoring and following up on receivable income in conjunction project managers.
* Ensuring a steady cash flow by generating, auditing, and sending invoices in a timely manner.
* Updating contracts in coordination with legal according to client requirements and reporting associated budget amendments.
* Review and approve time sheets for work related to a project
* Review overhead charges to be applied to a project
* Investigate and submit project variance reports to management
* Report to management on any opportunities for additional billings
* Report to management on the remaining funding available for projects
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent in accounting
* Minimum 2 years' work experience in an accounting environment, or similar.
* Proficiency in at least one electronic accounting systems.
* Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel.
* Knowledge in managing general ledgers, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
* In-depth knowledge of best practices in accounting
* Excellent communication skills toward effective collaboration and client services
Market Related
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent in accounting
* Minimum 2 years' work experience in an accounting environment, or similar.
* Proficiency in at least one electronic accounting systems.
* Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel.
* Knowledge in managing general ledgers, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
* In-depth knowledge of best practices in accounting
