Your new role
This Senior Finance Business Partner position sits within the Place and Public Health team and is responsible for delivering all aspects all aspects of financial advice around waste disposal and infrastructure, and commercialised green space services. Ensuring pro-active and innovative guidance across the breadth of finance functions and supporting complex projects is an integral part of the role


What you'll need to succeed
All applicants must be fully CCAB qualified with experience in application of financial management and financial frameworks in a large organisation, preferably public sector, through a full financial cycle. Ideally you will have experience across delivery vehicles, in-sourcing and out-sourcing solutions, operating and contracting models including PFI and asset management.

You must have evidence of providing financial advice to inform complex decision making, and be able to influence key stakeholders at the highest levels. You will have strong leadership skills and ability to demonstrate credibility, promoting good financial management practice within the business.

ECC have a new way of working, and this role is deemed an 'Anywhere worker' position This means you are able to work remotely for the majority of the time, with occasional trips to the Chelmsford office based on business need. Any journeys to the office would be at your own expense. More specific details about this can be discussed at the interview stage should you be invited to interview.

The Council offer a great salary between £53,009 - £62,364 dependant on experience, 26 days annual leave (plus bank holidays) and a 37 hour working week. They also offer a Local Government Pension. The full package of benefits are available on their website.
