Financial Controller

Opportunity to join an innovative design, development and manufacturing company with an established yet growing customer base. Due to continued investment, they are seeking an experienced Financial Controller with a commercial edge to take on a key, senior role within the business.

You will be a pivotal member of the management team with input into key strategic decisions and with overall responsibility for finance.

Heading up the existing accounts function with responsibility for a small team, as Financial Controller will have overall responsibility for:

• Overseeing the running of the finance department spanning all aspects of accounting, budgeting, forecasting, regulatory and financial reporting.
• Provision of financial information, detailed analysis and advice to the senior management team
• Developing and implementing structured financial systems and controls for financial planning including corporate internal controls
• Evaluating and managing business risk
• Working with the Senior team on future business growth, investment opportunities, project costing etc.
• Overseeing all aspects of payroll, benefits, personal tax and pensions
• Undertake overseas travel as when required (may be several times a year typically)

To succeed in this varied, senior role you will be:

• A qualified ACA / ACCA/CIMA or hold a relevant accounting qualification and be a passionate, motivated individual.
• Have a proven track record in a Financial Control / Financial Management role, ideally in a manufacturing / production / engineering environment.
• Experience of current accounting standards and US GAAP
• Experience of ERP / MRP manufacturing systems
• Product costing expertise essential
