We are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our busy finance department at our head office in Cranfield.
You will work as part of a small team and ideally have experience of at least two or more of the following areas:
Purchase Ledger
• Matching supplier invoices to goods in notes and coding / posting
• Supplier statement reconciliation
• Dealing with supplier queries
• Chasing credit claims for returned stock
Sales ledger and Credit Control
• Raising sales ledger invoices
• Sales ledger collection
Cashbook
• Posting daily cash / bank entries
In addition to the duties above, there will be other ad hoc accounting duties, such as help with posting journals, maintaining spreadsheets etc.
As well as having the relevant experience, you will be:
• Positive, flexible and motivated
• An excellent communicator
• Proficient in Excel and Word
• Able to work accurately and to deadlines
• Able to work on your own but also as part of the team
Whilst not essential, if you have started or made progress in a recognised accountancy qualification such as AAT, this would be an advantage.
