Our client in Stellenbosch is looking to appoint a Accountant.
*Responsibilities will include but not limited to:*
• Prepares/reviews financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information
and trends
• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Ensure financial controls and processes are adhered to and any deviation reported to the Financial
Manager
• Following & Completing month end procedures, to include balance sheet recons
• Ensure the profitability and long-term sustainability of company and make recommendations where
necessary
• Play a significant role in long-term planning, including initiatives geared toward financial growth and
profitability and striving for excellence in the finance department through training and employee
development
• Increase the effectiveness and efficiency of communication within the team
• Responsible for stock-take, reporting and the resolving of variances
• Assist in the annual financial audit through provisions of required information to external auditors

*Characteristics & Requirements:*
• Relevant qualification with at least 3 years' experience
• Knowledge of Navision accounting package advantageous
• Must have an ability for business and numbers
• Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail
• Knowledge of budgeting and risk management
• Good people skills (coaching)
• Advanced Excel experience
• Solid analytical and decision-making skills
• Strong focus on execution and how activities impact on business outcomes
• Ability to operate in a dynamic environment and working to tight deadlines
• Driving license with own transport
• Team Player, energetic, enthusiastic and ambitious
• Embraces and supports change processes
