We've partnered with an established business, close to Brisbane airport, who work on a global basis to provide them with an enthusiastic Accounts Assistant. They've been operating for over 50 years across multiple countries with a workforce of more than 4000 staff, and they are regarded as industry leaders. This role will allow you to work within a close-knit team who value your personal input just as much as your professional capability.

This is a crucial position providing support to an experienced Senior Accountant who you will work closely with. They will be on-hand to help you settle into the role and provide ongoing training and guidance to get you fully up to speed as quickly as possible. You can expect to be hands-on with full function Accounts Payable, Receivables, reconciliations, and banking duties, as well as being very involved in end-of-month processes. In addition, there will be other ad hoc duties as required by the wider business.

We're looking for someone who has the skillset to deliver on the above duties so previous experience combined with a willingness to learn is essential. We're also looking for someone with a good personality to fit into an inclusive culture. This a very team orientated environment so we're not looking for a wallflower but rather someone who enjoys building strong relationships and who enjoys working with likeminded people.

We'd also like you to have a decent level of capability with Excel; pivot tables and vlookup.

Your Skills & Experience

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Economics, or related field
• Additional qualifications such as CPA or CA are a plus but not a necessity
• Previous experience of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Exposure to Dynamics AX or 365 would be helpful
• Strong attention to detail.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• The desire to be part of a close-knit team
