Macildowie are actively recruiting for an Accounts Assistant for a well established, UK wide company based in Bourne, Lincolnshire.

This is a full time permanent role working Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 17:00.

This is a hybrid role working 2/3 days in the office a week and the rest remotely.

Salary is based between £20,000 - £30,000 based on experience. We will consider graduates or people who have a base knowledge in accounts.

This is ideal candidate will have a background in transactional finance or has done an accounting and finance degree at university, this is reflective in the salary. Must be competent on excel and able to adapt to a new system and have great attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Act as the primary point of contact between the outsourced AP/AR transactional processing team. This will include, but is not limited to:
  • Supporting the credit control process and cash allocation
  • Ensure supplier invoice processing and payments happen in a timely manner so as not to impact site operations
  • Complete accountability of the preparation of key financial processes, in line with stringent deadlines set out by finance function:
  • Bank and cash reconciliations
  • Accruals and Prepayments
  • Journals preparation and postings
  • Update and maintain inventory records
  • Update and maintain fixed asset records
  • Monthly account reconciliations
  • Preparation of management accounts and reports including sales and production volumes
  • Assist in the accurate and timely preparation of financial information including tax returns and Government Statistics
  • Ensure that internal controls are complete, robust and effective in order to safeguard company assets.
  • Support the finance function during times of team member's absence (eg annual leave).
  • To be a willing and flexible team member ready to take on new and expanding tasks as appropriate.
