Our Client, a well-known Accounting Firm in The Upper Highway Area, KZN, is looking for a highly skilled Tax Manager to join their dynamic team.
Applicant to have a valid driver's licence and own transport. The position will require travelling (local) from time to time.

* Preparation of Individual IT12 and company IT14 tax returns
* Preparation and calculation of provisional tax returns for all year ends
* Collating and uploading supporting documents requested by SARS
* Adding tax clients onto tax systems and/or efiling, which will include any efilingauthentications
* Checking of Income Tax assessments and preparation of Income Tax assessment letters
* Preparation and submission of Income Tax objections / appeals
* Attending Appeal hearings at SARS
* Attending to PAYE and VAT queries raised by SARS or the client
* Preparation and submission of EMP501 and IRP5 Certificates to SARS - CSV Format
* Preparation and submission of EMP501 and IRP5 Certificates to SARS - Manual format
* Assisting with processing monthly salaries on VIP payroll
* Preparation and submission of Workmens compensation returns
* Scanning and emailing of tax related documents for review / audit
* Preparation of schedules for tax related matters
* Preparation of commission related expense schedules
* Checking and updating banking details for taxpayers on internal and external systems
* Applications for tax clearance certificates
* Applications for Foreign Investment Allowance Tax clearance certificates
* Assisting and processing Financial Emigration tax clearance certificates
* Applications for Tax directives - Gratuities / Fixed Percentage
* Ensure that any queries received from SARS and clients are dealt with promptly and accurately
* Deregistration requests for taxpayers
* Attend appointments at SARS at the request of management
* General tax work as required by management
* Updating billing information as required by management
* Any statutory applications required by management
* General administration work as required by management

*Auditor Skills, Qualifications & Attributes:*

* Degree in taxation or completion of taxation course
* Minimum 7 years' experience in the field of taxation (active tax consultant)
* Ability to lead and manage a team
* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
* Need to be attention to detail driven
* Strong time management skills and ability to work under pressure
* Need to have the ability to use your own initiative to tackle any problems and see them through to completion
* Ability to be able to work independently as well as a team player in order to meet department goals

R 30 000 - R 38 000 Per Month (based on experience)
