Permanent Assistant Accountant job in St Andrews + study support, £27,000 - £30,000 + hybrid working

Hays Accountancy & Finance are recruiting on behalf of their exclusive client for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join them on a permanent basis. The role is based in St Andrews with Hybrid working, offers a competitive salary of £27,000 - £30,000 depending on experience + study support for professional qualification, excellent holidays, competitive pension and a genuine career path for progression.

Your new role

Reporting into the Management Accountant, you will assist in ensuring the seamless, efficient and accurate provision of financial support to the organisation. You will assist with monthly management accounts, budget preparation & monitoring, forecasting and year end support. You will complete journals including prepayments & accruals, create various reports and assist with the training on more junior accounts staff. You will also be involved with process & system improvement projects.

What you'll need to succeed

You will ideally be an experienced Assistant Accountant who is actively studying or looking to actively study for their professional qualification. You will have experience in assisting with the completion of monthly management accounts including working with budgets. You must be highly experienced with the use of EXCEL and be competent & confident dealing with large data sets.
