Financial Accountant

Permanent position for a Part Qualified Accountant looking to proactively develop their finance career.

Your new company
Hays are pleased to be working with a leading public sector organisation based within Edinburgh to support in the growth of their Finance department. This role will be joining a well established team to positively support the wider function and day to day operations.

Your new role
In your new role, you will be supporting in the organisation's annual reporting and accounts processes including their audit compliance. In particular, you will support assist in the preparation and delivery of the year end statutory annual accounts ensuring compliance with best practise and current regulations. You will also be a positive impact on the team by reporting to senior management to ensure balance sheet account reconciliations are up to date.

What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will be a Part Qualified Accountant looking to pursue a career particular within financial reporting and as a Financial Accountant. You will have a thorough understanding and practical experience of accounting and reporting requirements, including IFRS. Previous experience working in a larger team and positively impact day to day operations, within a public sector organisation, will be of considerable advantage.
