  • The Finance Business Partner will work on projects to assist the senior finance team. These projects include reporting and interacting with various departments across the company to ensure all processes are understood and supported.
  • They will develop all necessary policies and procedures to ensure the sound financial management and compliance to group goals and strategy communicating these across the business.

Description

  • The Finance Business Partner will work closely with the Assistant Management Accountant providing necessary support to the month end process. This could range from balance sheet
  • reconciliations to supporting the finance team with purchase ledger/sales ledger queries and cover to financial reporting to the senior finance team.
  • Provide ad hoc support to the Assistant Management Account
  • The Assistant Management Accountant will be responsible for allocating work and projects passed from the Senior Finance Team. You will be proactive in actioning these projects and working with the business in order to deliver them.
  • Develop finance procedures, policies and internal controls
  • The finance procedures and policies underpin the performance of the Finance team. You will ensure this is reflected in continuously developed up to date policies and procedures. To enable the efforts, results, and success of the finance department are consistent with professional work practices.
  • Provide financial reporting to the wider business
  • Financial reporting is integral to deliver the strategic objectives of the business, The Finance Business Partner will be responsible for co-ordinating and delivering these reports across the business utilising different systems and will need to be able to manipulate data and have a analytical mind.
  • Responsible for Revenue recognition and management
  • Responsible for working with the Regional Directors and Project Managers to ensure WIP is recorded accurately and in keeping with the month end deadlines. To reconcile the revenue monthly with each region ensuring that each discipline of the business is reported accurately for reporting purposes and quarterly bonus calculations. Whilst continually reviewing the process and developing as much as possible.
  • Financial Client Management
  • Provide relevant reporting to the Director of Client Services and Client Services team. Provide the business with financial analysis on clients to set relevant credit limits and pricing for providing Professional indemnity Insurance.
  • Support and be a key part of the digitisation process
  • Be an integral part of the digitisation process being involved in everything from assisting with project management to training and implementation.

Profile

  • Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organisation.
  • Excellent mathematical skills
  • At least five GCSEs, grades A-C)
  • (preferred) AAT Qualified
  • AAT/CIMA/ACCA Part Qualified
  • 1 - 2 years' experience in a similar position
  • Discretion of financial and payroll data
  • Willingness to undertake further external training
