The Permanent Division of Robert Half are recruiting for a ledger Clerk, on behalf of a multinational manufacturing client in Leighton Buzzard

• To make sure that the Sales Ledger system is up to date, queries are dealt with quickly and efficiently and customer's payments are received within agreed credit terms.
• To make sure that the Purchase Ledger system is up to date, queries are dealt with quickly and efficiently, suppliers are paid regularly and accounts have been reconciled.
• All month end deadlines must be met.

Purchase Ledger

• Matching invoices with goods received and purchase orders, making sure any differences or queries are dealt with promptly and ensuring all invoices are appropriately authorised.
• Entering multi - currency invoices onto the ERP and accounting software in a timely manner.
• Reconciliation of Top 10 supplier statements and IC statements monthly. All other suppliers to be reconciled on a regular basis.
• Making sure that the filling of invoices and purchase orders is done in a timely manner and all paper work is up to date.
• Petty Cash
• Any other tasks assigned by the Ledger Accountant.

Sales Ledger

• Banking of cheques.
• Credit Card expenses
• Making sure that the filing is done in a timely manner and all paperwork is up to date.
• Ensuring that month end tasks are completed in line with the timetable
• Any other tasks assigned by the Ledger Accountant.

Experience

• Minimum 12 months within a Purchase Ledger / Sales Ledger environment.
• Intermediate Word and Excel.

The position of Ledger Clerk in Leighton Buzzard is offer with a salary up to £20,000 + benefits
